Messages
Collect thoughts, organize them by topic, and get AI-powered responses — all in one view. Messages supports both typing and voice input for hands-free interaction.
Opening Messages
Desktop: Click Messages in the bottom menu bar. A side pane slides in from the left. Click again to close it.
Mobile: Tap Messages in the menu bar to open the full-screen messages view.
The Three-Column Layout
Messages uses a three-column interface:
| Column | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Topics (left) | Organize messages by topic with color-coded labels |
| Messages (center) | Your message stream with text and voice input |
| Responses (right) | AI responses grouped by participant |
Each column can be collapsed by clicking its header to save screen space. Collapsed columns show a vertical label you can click to re-open.
Sending Messages
Type in the text area at the bottom of the center column:
- Enter sends the message
- Shift+Enter adds a new line
After sending, the AI processes your message and the response appears in the right column.
Voice Input
Click the microphone button next to the text area to start voice input. Your speech is transcribed in real time and appears in the text area as you speak.
Response Modes
Toggle between two modes using the mode button next to the microphone:
- Auto mode (lightning icon): Your message is automatically sent when you stop speaking
- Manual mode (hand icon): Speech is transcribed into the text area but not sent — review and press Enter when ready

Tips
- Use topics to separate different threads of thought within a single session
- Auto mode works well for brainstorming — just talk and the AI responds continuously
- Manual mode is better when you want to review and refine your message before sending
- Collapse the Topics or Responses columns when you want to focus on the message stream
