File Management

Attach files to nodes for context, reference, and agent processing.

File Sources

DreamSolve supports files from multiple sources:

Direct Upload

Upload files from your computer directly to DreamSolve.

Google Drive

Connect your Google Drive to attach files stored in the cloud.

Public URLs

Reference publicly accessible files by URL.

Managing Files

Opening the File Manager

  1. Select a node
  2. Click the Files button (or file icon)
  3. The File Management dialog opens

Uploading Files

  1. Go to the Upload tab
  2. Drag and drop a file, or click to browse
  3. Wait for upload and security scan
  4. File appears in the Files list

Connecting Google Drive Files

  1. Ensure Google Drive is connected in Settings
  2. Go to the Google Drive tab
  3. Search for the file you want
  4. Click Add to attach it

Adding Public URLs

  1. Go to the Public URL tab
  2. Enter the file URL
  3. Give it a name and description
  4. Click Add File

Security Scanning

All uploaded files are automatically scanned for security:

Files with detected threats are blocked and cannot be opened.

In AI Planning

Files provide context for AI planning:

  • Technical specifications
  • Design documents
  • Reference materials

With Agents

Agents can read and process attached files:

  • Source code for analysis
  • Documents to summarize
  • Data to analyze

For Reference

Keep important files attached for easy access:

  • Requirements documents
  • Meeting notes
  • Related assets

File Limits

  • Maximum file size: 100MB per file
  • Supported formats: Most common document, image, and code formats
  • Storage: Counted toward your organization's storage quota

Tips

  • Use descriptive names for easy identification
  • Keep related files together on the same node
  • Remove outdated files to keep things clean
  • Use Google Drive for large files to save storage
